A Tesla Model S Plaid has put paid to the opposition on a US drag strip.

It’s shown thrashing a Fox-Body Ford Mustang and a Chev Corvette ZR1 in a drag racing video from the Drag Racing and Car Stuff YouTube channel.

Showing that EVs are very quick, the Tesla Model S Plaid has a tri-motor powertrain, all-wheel drive and a 321km/h top speed compared to the Chev’s supercharged 6.2L V8 LT5 engine producing 555kW of power and 969Nm torque to its rear wheels.
