The House of Representatives Standing Committee on Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water is holding public hearings in Sydney on July 24 and 25 to investigate the transition to electric vehicles (EVs).
“The public hearings will be an opportunity to explore further the priorities necessary to support Australia’s transition to EVs,” committee chair MP Tony Zappia says.
“The committee is looking forward to hearing from diverse stakeholders who can offer insight into several issues, including the manufacturing and charging of EVs, experiences using EV fleets, and opportunities for the safe and equitable uptake of EVs in Australia,” he says.
The program for the public hearings is available on the committee’s website.
The Committee will hold further public hearings in Melbourne, Brisbane, and Canberra in August and September 2024.
Further information about the inquiry is available on the committee’s website.
