Ford says its latest limited edition Ranger Tremor is a budget-friendly off-road warrior which will build on the success of the previously offered Wildtrak X.
Up to 1150 units are available to order from Ford dealers across Australia, priced from $69,690 Manufacturer List Price. Deliveries are expected to begin in September.
“The Tremor combines the highlights of Wildtrak X with the Sport series, resulting in a more budget-friendly off-road warrior,” Ford Australia marketing director Ambrose Henderson says.
The Ranger Tremor is powered by a 150kW/500Nm Euro 6 compliant 2.0L Bi-Turbo diesel engine and 10-speed automatic transmission. Like Wildtrak X, this driveline requires AdBlue diesel exhaust fluid.
It features a full-time four-wheel drive (4WD) system, including 4A mode, and benefits from the Trail Turn Assist feature that allows the vehicle to manoeuvre around the tightest off-road turns easily.
Off-roading capability is further enhanced with a Rock Crawl drive mode, and Ford’s Trail Control.
The Tremor has all the features of the Sport Double-Cab 2.0L Bi-Turbo 4×4 model, plus the following:
- 17” Asphalt Black Alloy Wheels, General Grabber AT3 All-Terrain Tyres, wheel arch mouldings, 30mm increased track width
- Off-road suspension and steering:
- Bilstein position-sensitive dampers with external reservoirs
