Cupra Australia has confirmed the initial nine locations of its Cupra Garages which will offers customers a highly trained Cupra Master dedicated to every aspect of the buying process

The first shipments of the brand’s three-model line-up are now arriving in Australia for network distribution with the first deliveries commencing in August.

Cupra Australia says from next month, the Leon VZe and Formentor VZe plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) variants will be available to test drive ahead of first orders opening in August and delivery from October.

It says the Cupra Garage locations include high-traffic central business district (CBD) and key urban addresses, as well as awareness-driving shopping centre destinations.

A single Cupra Master will be assigned to each customer to create a seamless purchasing and ownership experience – from test driving, to highlighting driveaway pricing, finance options, and explaining three-year included scheduled servicing.

The Cupra Garage locations opening soon include:

  • City Garage Sydney, 68 Pitt Street, Sydney, NSW
  • Artarmon, 387 Pacific Highway Artarmon, NSW
  • Richmond, 388 (introductory) then 376 (permanent) Swan Street Richmond, VIC
  • Chadstone, Chadstone Shopping Centre, VIC (introductory)
  • Gold Coast, Robina Town Centre, QLD
  • Indooroopilly, Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, QLD (introductory)
  • Canberra, 120 Melrose Drive Phillip, ACT
  • Adelaide, 41 Main North Road Medindie (introductory) then 11 Waymouth Street Adelaide (permanent), SA
  • Perth, 1093 Albany Highway Bentley, WA

“We have ensured that the online ordering that commences today is complemented by Cupra locations that deliver high-quality interactions and a seamless purchasing process,” Cupra Australia director Ben Wilks says.

Based on demand, Cupra Australia says it will then progressively move from MY22 (available now) to MY23 ordering availability during August.

The Leon V, Leon VZe and Formentor VZe will commence in MY23.

The MY23 Cupra Leon V, VZ, VZe and VZx upgrade from a 10-inch to a 12-inch touchscreen and replace Dynamic LED tail lights (scrolling indicators) with Static LED tail lights, for an additional $400 on VZ, and $500 on VZe and VZx. As the Leon V commences in MY23, there is no price change and driveaway is TBC.

A 360-degree camera re-joins the MY23 Cupra Formentor VZx specification, for an additional $500.

At no extra cost, towing pre-wiring is now available across the MY23 Ateca and Formentor range. Unbraked towing capacities are 750kg for all variants. Braked towing capacities are 2100kg for Ateca VZx and 1,700kg for Formentor V, 1,600kg for VZ, 1500kg for VZe and 1,800kg for VZx.

Pricing and specification for MY23 has been updated below where applicable.

Initially where variants with Brembo and Akrapovic options are sought, agents will assist with the order.

The Formentor, a World Car of the Year Finalist, comes to Australia in July with a line-up that is unique in both its performance focus and stylised design.
