
A new P400e electric hybrid is offered in the 2023 Range Rover line-up.
The mid-size luxury SUV, which sits between the Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Sport in the family, offers a 2.0-litre four-cylinder P400e electric hybrid producing a combined 297kW and 640Nm of torque from its 221kW petrol engine and 105kW electric motor, and acceleration from zero to 100km/h in 5.4 seconds.
A 17.1kWh lithium-ion battery under the boot floor can be charged to 80% in 30 minutes using a DC rapid charge point (50kW), or an hour and 40 minutes using a standard 7kW wallbox.
The P400e has up to 59km electric range and 2.7 litres/100km fuel economy, also coming with the option of a 48-volt mild hybrid.
Australian pricing starts at $96,600 for the range with the P400e from $138,800, with first deliveries expected Q4, 2022.
Customers can monitor interior and exterior air quality on the central touchscreen, activating the Purify mode whenever required.
The Range Rover Velar has an expanded range of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including rear camera and adaptive cruise control with steering assist as standard.
The Range Rover Velar will come standard with a five-year unlimited kilometre warranty and includes five years roadside assistance.
Fixed-price service plans offer Range Rover Velar owners coverage for up to five years or a maximum of 102,000km, priced at $1950 for the P400e electric hybrid petrol.
