The Australia Electric Vehicle Association (AEVA) says life member and electrical engineer Harold Waring has died, aged about 95.
“He was a strong advocate for all things electrical, particularly renewable, and leaves a lasting legacy,” it says, releasing a video of him it recorded in 2019.
AEVA visited Waring of Queensland for his then 91st birthday where he reflects on more than 70 years of solar and EV experiences.
