Geely Auto’s global electric EX5 SUV will soon be introduced in Australia and other markets – such as New Zealand.
The EV meets the regulatory requirements of 89 countries, says Geely which is setting up shop in both Australia and New Zealand – as reported in EVs and Beyond earlier this year.
The Geely EX5 was showcased at the 2024 Automechanika Frankfurt in Germany (September 10-14), the company saying the EX5 is “designed to cater to diverse international markets”.
“The EX5 was created to become a class-leading player in the most competitive segment with more space, better driving dynamics, and an enhanced ride experience,” says Geely Holding Group senior vice president Victor Yang.
Australian pricing has yet to be announced, Drive.com.au reports.
Built on Geely’s global intelligent new energy or GEA architecture, the EX5 has a drag coefficient of 0.269, the latest Short Blade Battery, the FLYME Auto system and FLYME SOUND, flexible seating options, plenty of storage, and the 11-in-1 intelligent electric drive.
Other specifications will be provided closer to the Australia and New Zealand launch.
