Melbourne Tractors Group has announced the passing of its owner, Ken Bennett, who built the business into a significant Kobelco dealership.
According to Melbourne Tractors Group, Bennett was a larger-than-life character, a passionate leader and a visionary in the earthmoving industry.
“He will be missed dearly by his family, alongside everyone in his extended work family at Melbourne Tractors. His legacy will continue through the lives he touched and the business he built.”
As well as buying Melbourne Tractors, Bennett founded BrisVegas Machinery, Ballarat Tractors and Meltrac Machinery.
Kobelco Construction Machinery Australia says Bennett built the Melbourne Tractors Group into one of its leading dealerships and significantly impacted the brand’s market presence as it is today.
“On behalf of the Kobelco family, our sincere condolences are with the Bennett family during this difficult time.”
A service celebrating Bennett’s life will occur on the Gold Coast later this week, with additional details coming shortly.
