AThe RACV officially opened its new Geelong store at 81 Malop Street on August 19.

It says the new location will allow members and customers to access the full range of RACV products and services and a travel agency.

The RACV Travel and Experience partners include Australian Pacific Touring (APT), Scenic, Intrepid, and Princess.

RACV EGM of Membership Mark Geraghty says RACV was proud of its long and ongoing contribution to the Geelong region.

“Our new location in the heart of Malop Street Mall will make it even easier for RACV members and customers to access all RACV products and services,” Geraghty says.

RACV EGM Leisure Craig Peachey hopes the Geelong community will fully utilise the available travel and experience options.

“We now offer travel and experience services at our Geelong store, and the team look forward to assisting members and customers with domestic and international tours, cruises, flight deals, accommodation and travel insurance,” Peachey says.

The RACV Geelong store team has celebrated the opening by supporting the local community by donating $5,000 to Geelong Chances. The organisation aims to see students facing financial barriers achieve their potential.

Geelong Chances was established by Western Chances, which is based in Melbourne’s west and provides scholarships and opportunities to young people facing barriers to education.

Western Chances chief executive Zac Lewis says the donation from the RACV Geelong store will support their pilot program to increase the participation of young people in Geelong.

“We have received overwhelming interest in the Geelong program, having already exceeded our pilot goal to support 25 young people with scholarship fund donations,” Lewis says.

“The donation from the RACV Geelong store will support five students’ education for a year, giving access to items like internet, transport, essential school textbooks and stationery.”

Store opening hours will be between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Saturday, and expert travel consultants will be available during those times.
