MG Motor Australia has increased its prices for the entire ZS EV SUV range and the entry-level MG4 51 Excite electric hatchback.
According to CarExpert these price increases are applicable for both MY23 and MY24 inventory.
MG Motor Australia told CarExpert the pricing adjustments for the MG 4 and the ZS EV are a result of different external factors such as a rise in raw material costs, shipping costs and currency fluctuations.
The publication reports that New South Wales buyers will now see drive-away prices reflect stamp duty, from which they were previously exempt until the NSW Government ceased this incentive on December 31, 2023.
And it reports that customers who have already placed a deposit on an electric vehicle before January 1, 2024, will have until June 30, 2024, to claim the stamp duty exemption.
CarExpert reports the 2024 MG 4 Excite 51kWh is now priced from $39,990 (+$1000), while the 2024 MG ZS EV Excite is priced from $41,990 (+$1000), the 2024 MG ZS EV Essence is priced from $44,990 (+$1000) and the 2024 MG ZS EV Essence long range is priced from $51,990 ($2000).
