Seasoned automotive executive Matthew Evans has joined Ohme as its new head of mobility in Australia.

Introduced to Australia earlier this year, Ohme’s ePod and Home Pro chargers, thanks to their dynamic integration, enable EV drivers to charge smarter, greener, and cheaper at home.

Evans, who has previously worked at Honda Australia and GM Holden, joins the growing Ohme team just before its appearance at the All-Energy Show in Melbourne this month.

“I’m excited to be joining Ohme at such an important time for the company and as the move to e-mobility in Australia is gathering momentum,” said Evans.

“Ohme’s technology, API integration, solar compatibility, and excellent local customer service make it stand out. Ohme has quickly established itself as the leading customer option in Europe and number one in the UK. I’m thrilled to be helping bring this smarter technology to the Australian market.”

Evans joins Ohme just as it has introduced the new Home Pro tethered charger to the Australian market and has become the new home EV charging partner for OSW, the largest solar panel distributor in Australia.

Ohme was founded in 2017 and is the UK’s leading charging platform provider.

Ohme offers consumers a smart charging system solution that enables them to charge at off-peak times and reduce their charging costs and environmental impact. Outside investors have named Ohme a ‘gigacorn’ – a company with the potential to remove one gigatonne of CO2 from the atmosphere per year.

Ohme has passed the industry standard certifications for ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 for monitoring quality processes and information security.
