MG Motor Australia has launched its all-new mid-size HS SUV for the Australian market.
The ICE version will be followed by a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV).
The standard HS SUV, powered by a turbocharged 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine and backed by a dual-clutch transmission, will arrive in showrooms in September 2024.
The soon-to-be-released HS PHEV will mirror the evolution of MG’s range with electrified hybrid technology across all three variants: Vibe, Excite, and Essence.
According to MG Motor, the standard HS SUV sets a new benchmark for the class with combined CO2 emissions of 156g/km and a combined fuel consumption of 6.9L/100km.
The Vibe grade delivers automatic LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a 12.3-inch Dual Screen Entertainment System with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity in the centre console.
The Excite grade offers 19-inch alloy wheels, a 360-degree camera for unparalleled visibility, and remote-controlled air conditioning via MG iSmart.
The Essence grade elevates the all-new MG HS with a panoramic sunroof, an eight-speaker audio system, and wireless smartphone charging.
All-new HS models feature the MG Pilot safety suite.
This suite includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and blind-spot detection, among many other features.
