GUD Automotive acquires Innovative Mechatronics Group

GUD Holdings is acquiring Innovative Mechatronics Group Pty Ltd (IM Group) to become part of the GUD automotive business unit.

IM Group is a specialist automotive electronics and mechatronics company, which was established in 1983 becoming a market leader within its individual brand categories through innovation and high-quality standards.

Since inception the company has developed a record of quality and innovation from in-house R & D technical capabilities designing, developing and validating new products, processes and test equipment.

IM Group is the recipient of many industry awards for innovation, export achievements, marketing excellence and manufacturing and was a 2006 Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame inductee.

The IM Group’s brands include Injectronics – remanufactured automotive electronic and mechatronic components; RAE Ignition and Sensors including ignition coils; and dat Equipment – diagnostic speciality tools and equipment.

Also, it also has the MAP mechatronics range of remote buttons, shells, complete remotes and keys to suit a wide variety of popular makes and models and genuine OEM replacement parts from some of the world’s leading vehicle manufacturers.

To further strengthen the brand names, the Goss range of sensors, fuel pumps, ignition coils will become part of the group.

IM Group managing director Rex Vandenberg will continue to manage the business and Gino Ricciuti will be responsible for brand marketing as marketing and logistics general manager.

The ISO 9001 quality certified Injectronics brand, with its advanced research and development and technical expertise, is a market leader in the remanufacture and repair of a broad range of electronic components on modern vehicles, reducing costs on expensive replacements by recycling, reusing and reducing waste.

Products include ABS Modules and Sensors, Airflow/Mass Meters, Body Control Modules, Climate Controls, Electronic Control Modules. Throttle Bodies, Immobilisers and Key Matching. Instrument Clusters/ Information Displays, and Heavy Duty & Diesel Control Modules such as Turbo Actuators, Injector Pump and ABS Control Modules.

The company also offers a unique repair service for the automotive industry where the original failed component can be repaired and returned enabling it to be refitted to the original vehicle saving considerable workshop time and money while avoiding the need to reprogram the product to the vehicle.

The Injectronics website provides a valuable source of information in technical bulletins and details of ‘common faults’ while a hotline gives access to the trade to technical support on such things as wiring diagrams, fault code interpretations, adjustment, testing and programming procedures.
