General Motors Speciality Vehicles (GMSV) has released the specifications of the 2025 GMC Yukon Denali, which is scheduled to go on sale in Australia in the second quarter of next year.
The 6.2-litre V8 GMC Yukon Denali is a premium SUV that seats up to eight passengers.
GMSV is conducting real-world local testing and validation on a fleet of engineering vehicles in Victoria before the product’s on-sale date.
“There’s no denying it’s a statement vehicle – with the Denali package, the Yukon offers customers the ultimate in premium finishes and performance,” GM Australia & New Zealand managing director Jess Bala says.
“It is a vehicle for families and groups who need to transport as many as eight people comfortably, combined with unheralded towing capability and luggage carrying ability.
“A luxurious interior and cavernous boot space are complemented with the latest technology and safety systems to make the GMC Yukon Denali the latest ‘must have’ vehicle brought to you by GMSV,” she says.
The GMC Yukon Denali’s heart is a 6.2-litre V8 petrol engine, delivering 313kW of power and 624Nm of torque—the same powertrain found in the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 range. A tow rating will be released closer to launch, but the Yukon is anticipated to offer best-in-class towing.
Up to 13 camera views provide extra eyes around the vehicle, making manoeuvring the Yukon in and out of tight confines easier.
Camera views include a surround view, front and rear views (including top-down views) and a hitch view with hitch guidance to help customers connect to their trailers with precision and more.
The various camera views are all displayed on the impressively large 16.8-inch diagonal tablet-style infotainment screen. When not being used for camera projection, the infotainment screen displays vehicle applications such as Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, vehicle settings, drive modes and more.
In addition to seating for eight, the GMC Yukon Denali will offer a 3480-litre cargo volume when the second and third rows are lowered. The seats all fold flat to transport large and bulky items.
If the complete seat configuration is in use, even the most minor passengers are considered—there are three ISOFIX points throughout the vehicle.
Pricing for the new model is anticipated to be released later this year.
