The electric Foton T5 EV has featured at the two-day 2024 Australasian Fleet Education and Leadership Summit at Rosehill Gardens in Sydney.

Highlighting the event was award success for Foton customer Logan City Council with the council’s plant fleet services manager Thomas Brayley awarded the 2024 Fleet Manager of the Year Award.

The council also claimed the Fleet Environment Award.

The summit showcased the road ahead for fleet professionals, drawing more than 800 guests from across the region who were able to gain firsthand experience of Foton’s offering, which topped the Australian electric truck sales charts in 2023.

The event brought together industry leaders, educators, and fleet managers for a series of enlightening sessions and networking opportunities.

“For the third year in a row, we are proud to have a presence at the Australasian Fleet Education and Leadership Summit,” says Foton Mobility Distribution’s founder and chief executive Neil Wang.

“With each event, we have grown our showcase, which this year included the Foton T5 EV being on static display, plus kept busy during the event’s all-new test drive program, which was booked solid for two days.

“We particularly want to thank Foton EV Sydney for their support of the event, and especially the drive program.

“For many who are new to the technology, seeing is believing, and being able to introduce fleet leaders to the T5 EV on the road is an important step.

“Also, we congratulate the Logan City Council for their award success at the event.

“The Foton T5 EV is working hard at the Logan City Council every day, assisting them in delivering upon their environmental aims, alongside a growing number of Foton EV customers across the country.”

The Foton EV was also at the inaugural TruckShowX at Cape Schanck in Victoria, which included a ride-and-drive program.

The two events were the launchpad for the company to unveil its inaugural “End of Financial Year Offer”, designed to ease the transition to an electric fleet.

Customers who place eligible orders before June 30, 2024, will receive a $3000 Evie Networks public charging voucher.
