A fully restored 1973 MV Agusta 750 S sold for $151,000 under the hammer at Donington Auctions on September 23, setting a new record auction price for the brand in Australia.

MV Agusta produced 556 examples of the 750 S motorcycle between 1970 and 1975.

The ‘Collector Motorcycle Auction’ achieved nearly $800,000 under the hammer, with a 97% clearance rate.

“People are looking for unique investment opportunities outside of more traditional avenues like real estate or shares, particularly investments they can enjoy.  We see items of quality and rarity bucking the trends and still performing well in the current market,” Donington Auctions spokesperson Cameron Sabine says.
