The Motor Trades Association of Queensland (MTA Queensland) is leading the effort to tackle the ongoing skill shortage in the automotive industry, announcing the launch of a new online job platform to connect local employers with the global labour market.

Its “Automotive Jobs Queensland” platform, developed in partnership with WorkinAUS, will deliver a new outlet for automotive employers to put their job openings in front of the domestic and international labour pool at the same time, saving time and money, and reaching a greater audience.

Partnering with WorkinAUS, whose market-leading technology matches thousands of international job seekers to local employers each month, will give employers access to a wide network of industry and Government job boards, while also assisting with recruitment marketing and compliance requirements, says MTA Queensland.

The platform also features advanced technology including built-in video capability, applicant tracking system integration, and simple workflow, allowing employers to focus solely on the advertising.

For job-seekers, Automotive Jobs Queensland will be the go-to site for skilled workers seeking to further their careers, new-starters looking to enter the industry, and international talent to make Queensland home, says MTA Queensland.

“The ongoing drastic skill and labour shortage that continues to impact the Australian automotive industry requires an outside-the-box approach to attract new talent pools,” says MTA Queensland chief executive Rod Camm.

“As the peak body representing automotive employers in Queensland, we are thrilled to be able to bring this global jobs platform to market to ensure our members have the capability to cast the widest net possible to find and recruit talent.

“With jobs available across the state, the Automotive Jobs Queensland platform will not just advertise jobs, but advertise Queensland as the ideal place to come work and live, creating an ongoing pipeline of experienced candidates for businesses to connect with.”

To celebrate the launch of the Automotive Jobs Queensland platform, MTA Queensland members who sign up by October 2, 2023, receive one month of unlimited, free job advertisements.
