
The privately owned company which has been distributing Toyota vehicles in Saudi Arabia since 1955, Abdul Lateef Jameel, is reportedly viewing the Ateco Group as a possible entry into the Australian market.
According to the Australian Financial Review (AFR), the Saudi conglomerate has made an $800 million bid and has engaged KPMG to pursue the deal.
The AFR says a spokesperson for the Ateco Group has declined to comment on the matter.
