Nominations closing for National Trucking Industry awards

Nominations for the National Trucking Industry awards close tomorrow Friday 5 May 2017, 5 pm Canberra time.

“This is your last chance to nominate exceptional members of the trucking industry for the National Trucking Industry Awards,” says ATA chief executive officer Ben Magurie.

“I urge everyone to think of those that have made a significant positive impact on the trucking industry and nominate them for an appropriate award,” says Magurie.

The awards open for nominations are, outstanding contribution to the trucking industry, national trucking industry woman of the year, national professional driver of the year and national training excellence award.

“These awards are an opportunity for all of us to demonstrate our appreciation for those that go above and beyond, to make the trucking industry better for everyone,” says Magurie.

The awards will be presented at Trucking Australia 2017 21-23 June, at the Darwin Convention Centre during the Gala Dinner on the Foundation Sponsors Day.

The day celebrates and recognises the Foundation Sponsors of the ATA and will take place on June 23.

The ATA is also presenting The Don Watson Memorial Award, and the TruckSafe John Kelly Memorial Award on the night.

The ATA thanks, foundation sponsors BP, NTI and Volvo Trucks.

It also thanks all the other sponsors of Trucking Australia 2017 and the awards: AEI Transport, Bridgestone, BPW Transpec, CIMC, Cummins, Daimler Truck & Bus, DECA, MaxiTrans, MTData, PACCAR, TMW Systems and Thermo King.
