The Mining Electric Vehicle Company (MEVCO) has entered a global partnership with Rivian Automotive to provide EVs to mining industry fleets.
The Rivian R1T is the sole pick-up truck – electric or otherwise – in the United States to earn the Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
MEVCO will customise the Rivian R1T to mining specifications, allowing them to operate in the harshest conditions in surface and underground mines. It will also support mines in charging infrastructure, maintenance, and workflows.
