Honda Australia has confirmed the eleventh-generation Accord sedan will be arriving in dealerships for customers to drive away from the second quarter of 2024.

One model will be offered, the Honda Accord e:HEV RS in four colour options and with Google built-in, which is a first for the brand in the local market.

First launched in Australia in 1977 the Honda Accord has won numerous Australian awards, including Wheels Car of The Year which was the first for a Japanese manufacturer and many more esteemed medals since.

“The Honda Accord has a rich history in the Australian market as a luxurious flagship model which has been a customer favourite since its arrival in 1977”, Honda Australia director Carolyn McMahon says.

“This new model offers the premium feel that Accord is renowned for, coupled with all the additional technological advances that customers are becoming accustomed to, including Honda’s e:HEV hybrid powertrain that delivers a dynamic combination of performance and efficiency.”

The new Accord features the latest fourth-generation two-motor hybrid system, first released in the CR-V e:HEV RS.

This system includes a 2-litre Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder engine, now with direct fuel injection, mated to a pair of larger and more powerful electric motors which are now mounted side-by-side rather than in-line with the engine crankshaft as in the two-motor hybrid system in previous generations.

Honda says the all-new Accord is longer and sleeker with premium proportions and a broad stance, further advancing the brand’s design direction with a low horizontal beltline and a long, powerful front end. Honda says the Accord backs up its sleek new looks with more confident and refined dynamics.

Inside, a new interior offers fine craftsmanship, high-quality materials and advanced features. Modern, high-style materials include a striking honeycomb metal mesh accent that stretches across the dash.
