Great Wall to release 500km range EV ute

Great Wall Motor is set to unveil a groundbreaking 500km range EV ute at the Auto Shanghai show on April 16.

The company has also released images of its new adventure ute, scheduled for introduction into Australia and NZ next year. The adventure model will join the urban spec and the EV ute.

The vehicle adopts Great Wall’s new “tough truck” design, incorporating single bar grille, high penetration LED headlights and carbon black wheel arches.

The rear also features LED taillights, extended sports bar and specially designed tailgate for off-road bike enthusiasts.

This new adventure model will feature a built-in front winch, triple diff locks and a 7-setting all terrain control system offering leading 4WD capabilities and 900mm fording depth.

The ute will be produced at Great Wall’s new billion dollar Chongqing plant which will also produce next generation Haval H9
