The Genesis Electrified G80 is among a trio of the brand’s EVs arriving in Australia in September – The G80 EV priced from $145,000.

It will provide a refined, zero-emission range halo model, sitting above G80 3.5T AWD Luxury Pack, while setting a new standard for luxurious electric sedans, says Genesis Motors Australia, adding the choice of a five-year Chargefox subscription or home A/C charger and install is included in the price.

The Genesis Electrified G80’s 87.2kwh battery and twin-motor AWD powertrain delivers 272kW, providing about 520km range, 700Nm torque to get from zero to 100km/h in under five seconds, and ultra-rapid charging to 80% within 22 minutes.

“The introduction of the sophisticated Electrified G80, along with Electrified GV70 and our GV60, sees Genesis transition into the future with electrification as a core brand pillar,” says Genesis Motors Australia head Connal Yan.

“Electrified G80 builds on the renowned luxury and appeal of G80 with its refined, zero-emission battery-electric performance, long-range and ultra-rapid charging to create a fitting range flagship.”

It will be offered in one highly equipped ‘Luxury Package’ grade, while Genesis Australia provides a comprehensive suite of services and benefits, include a five-year/unlimited kilometre warranty, eight-year high voltage battery warranty, five-year complimentary servicing, 10-year 24/7 roadside assistance, and 10-year complimentary map updates.

The Electrified G80 features a 400V/800V multi rapid-charging system that lets customers plug into a range of charging infrastructures. The driving motor and inverter can boost the voltage from 400V to 800V – the optimal level for the system – for stable charging performance.

A Vehicle-To-Load (V2L) feature lets customers plug their electric appliances into Electrified G80 and access a household-grade source of electric power (3.6kW output) while enjoying the great outdoors.

A solar roof generates supplementary electricity from sunlight, while a choice of 11 exterior colours is offered, 10 of which are shared with G80 2.5T and 3.5T plus an exclusive hue, Matira Blue.
