Ford Ranger leads New Zealand market in October

The next-generation Ford Ranger has once again led the overall new vehicle market in New Zealand racking up 1491 registrations for the month of October 2022.

It was followed by the Mitsubishi Outlander (1030), with 30% of those registrations going to the PHEV models, accounting for 312 units.

Toyota took third, fourth and fifth place respectively with the RAV4 (746), Hilux (638), and the Corolla (478).

In sixth place was the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross (453), followed by the Suzuki Swift (408), Toyota Yaris Cross (353), Kia Sportage (301), Honda Jazz (267) and Mitsubishi ASX (265).

Toyota New Zealand led the overall passenger car market with 2226 registrations, followed by Mitsubishi (1767), Kia (1003), Suzuki (787), Hyundai (567), MG Motor (499), Ford (431), Mazda (352), Honda ((351), and Volkswagen (340).

Ford New Zealand led the overall commercial vehicle market with 1541 new registrations, followed by Toyota (743), and Mitsubishi (252).
