The first shipment of MY25 Polestar 2 variants has arrived in Australia with more standard equipment, new exterior colours, new wheel designs, interior improvements and below the Luxury Car Tax (LCT) pricing ($91,387 for “fuel efficient” vehicles 2024-2025 financial year), says Polestar.

The Polestar 2 MY25 range starts from $62,400 for the Standard range Single motor variant, and the flagship Polestar 2 Long range Dual motor with Performance Pack is priced from $80,380.

The MY25 Polestar 2’s arrival kickstarts a time of unprecedented growth for the Swedish electric performance car brand in Australia, says Polestar Australia head Scott Maynard.

“The timing of Polestar 2’s arrival adds further momentum to our transformation from a one-car to a three-car brand locally, particularly as we prepare for the opening of Polestar’s new multi-level flagship Sydney North Space on September 12.

“We’ll also start to welcome customers for test drives and handovers of Polestar 3 in our Spaces around Australia, which will mark Polestar’s first foray into the competitive SUV segment.”

Maynard says the pricing realignment is an important step to continue to drive EV uptake in Australia and ensure Polestar remains top-of-mind for EV buyers.

Pricing for the new Polestar 4 SUV Coupe has also been adjusted to launch below the LCT threshold when it arrives in November.

The Polestar 4 Long range Single motor will now start at $78,500 and the Polestar 4 Long range Dual motor from $88,350.

“Polestar Australia now has six variants under the Luxury Car Tax threshold, more than we have ever had before, which is great news for Australian consumers,” says Maynard.

Prices (MSRP) for MY25 models are from Polestar 2 Standard range Single motor $62,400, Polestar 2 Long range Single motor $66,400, Polestar 2 Long range Dual motor $71,400, Polestar 2 Long range Dual motor with Performance Pack $80,380, Polestar 4 Long range Single motor $78,500, Polestar 4 Long range Dual motor $88,350, Polestar 3 Long range Dual motor $132,900, Polestar 3 Long range Dual motor with Performance Pack $141,900.
