Eagers Automotive has opened three new sales and service locations in Australian for the Foton electric truck brand.

The dealerships are Foton EV Brisbane, Foton EV Perth and Foton EV Sydney, with each site offering a total customer support package for Foton EV truck customers.

For Eagers Automotive, the opportunity to represent the Foton T5 EV, to its expansive customer base, will further assist Australian fleets in converting to a sustainable future.

“Eagers Automotive is incredibly proud to join the growing Foton EV dealership network,” Eagers Automotive executive general manager Paul Warburton says.

“We look forward to supporting Foton in the Australian market as they look to follow in the footsteps of their success around the world.”

For Foton Mobility Distribution, the wholly Australian-owned local Distributor of Foton Global zero-emission products, expanding its dealer network with Eagers Automotive is a true vote of confidence in the brand.

“It’s with great pride that we welcome the Eagers Automotive team to the Foton family,” Foton Mobility Distribution’s Bill Gillespie says.

“Around the world, Foton’s new energy products continue to lead the sales race, with our entry to the Australian market last year seeing the products widely embraced by a cross-section of leading fleets nationwide.

“From leaders in last mile home deliveries to council fleets, removalists and beyond, the T5 EV continues to gain traction in the marketplace.

“With Eagers Automotive representing us in Brisbane, Perth and Sydney, we are now able to better service our customer base, who can access the vehicles through familiar staff at trusted dealerships,” he says.

At the heart of the current Foton all-electric offering is the Foton T5 EV, with the model available rated to a GVM of 4,500kg for car licence operation, or 6,000kg for light rigid licenced drivers, with a unique for EV 3,500kg braked towing capacity allowing the package to integrate into existing fleets.

Complete with a fully loaded range of 180km, the T5 EV also offers an all-encompassing safety suite, including a Low-Speed Pedestrian Warning System, a comprehensive electronic braking and stability support package, dual SRS airbags, as well as a reversing radar and buzzer.

The Foton T5 EV is available in a range of ready-to-go trims, with options including an Australian-made steel tipper body, an alloy tray and more, covering a wide range of Australian-specific application types.

Purchasers of new Foton T5 EV all-electric trucks are supported with an 8-year/300,000km power battery warranty and a 5-year/200,000km overall vehicle warranty.

All Foton EV products are supported by NTI Truck Assist 24/7 roadside support service.
