Ineos Automotive addresses delayed customer delivery

A disgruntled customer in rural Victoria has told AutoTalk that in spite of holding two orders for the Ineos Grenadier 4×4 with $10,000 in deposits paid, he has received poor communication from the brand about delivery timing and none from the nearest retail agent in Shepparton.

The customer told AutoTalk that he had recently rang Ineos customer service in the United Kingdom to try and ascertain when production and delivery of confirmed orders for Australia would begin but claims he was fobbed off.

He says he understood when signing his contract that Australian vehicles would be produced in December 2022 and delivered in March 2023.

He says the local dealer Aaron Brain Motors the local Ineos Grenadier retail agent in Shepparton, has not reached out to him regarding delivery, as previously promised by Ineos Automotive.

However, Ineos Automotive Head of Asia Pacific Region Justin Hocevar has refuted this and says the local regional team has maintained a consistent line of communication during the contract signing process direct with the customer.

“It’s no secret that a range of factors have influenced the anticipated arrival of product coming to Australia and we are no different to our industry peers,” he says.

However, additional complexities in the ordering process with this case have added to these delays. In any instance, we look forward to updating the customer on the delivery date of their vehicle imminently and to support them during their ongoing ownership experience, in collaboration with our experienced and trusted retail agent, Aaron Brain,” Hocevar says.

AutoTalk understands that delivery of Australian orders will begin in earnest in the second quarter of 2023.

AutoTalk has also contacted Aaron Brain Motors for a comment on the matter and is awaiting a reply.
