Chery Tech Day showcases achievements

Chery hosted its 2023 Chery Tech Day under the theme ‘Technology Within Reach’ with multiple technical zones on site, showcasing the latest achievements in Chery’s technological advancement.

It has accumulated more than 26,000 patent applications, illustrating Chery’s research and development capabilities.

During the next five years, Chery plans to invest at least A$21.5 billion (100 billion yuan) in research and development and simultaneously establish 300 “Yao Guang Laboratories” worldwide.

These initiatives will primarily focus on breakthroughs in strategic technologies related to intelligent cabins and autonomous driving.

The Chery Tech Day event featured a comprehensive display of the latest advancements in Chery’s technological progression. Notably, the dedicated “Chery Patent Wall” served as a focal point for showcasing Chery’s concentrated technological prowess.

Chery’s autonomous research and development capabilities include complete vehicles, engines, and critical components.

Its portfolio of invention patents covers core technologies and key domains, encompassing traditional automobiles, new energy, intelligent connectivity, and autonomous driving.

The company has received several “National Scientific and Technological Progress Awards” and has been honoured three times as a national level “Innovative Enterprise” solidifying the name “Tech Chery”.

Chery says its integration of advanced technological achievements into its products has driven rapid sales growth. From January to September 2023, Chery’s cumulative sales reached 1.253 million vehicles, surpassing the total sales for the entire previous year.
