BYD Automotive has sent an email to its customers advising that Australian deliveries of the Atto 3 electric SUV will be paused for a further seven days from October 28 as a government submission is prepared.
BYD Automotive says together with its distributor EV Direct, the two companies have been actively working with the relevant government department to resolve a technical matter.
“With the full support of BYD China, all requested information is being prepared for submission to the department,” BYD Automotive says.
“Whilst we are confident of a resolution, we will continue to respect and cooperate with the Department to ensure a swift resolution.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers and look forward to recommencing deliveries as soon as possible. Please contact customercare@bydautomotive.com.au if you have any further queries,” it says.
