Australians have recognised Toyota as the most trusted automotive brand as part of a national consumer survey presented by independent market research company Roy Morgan.
It is the first time in which the research company has offered the most trusted automotive brand award.
Toyota says its reputation for quality, durability and reliability, forged over decades of performance in Australia’s harshest climates, was an important factor in determining the accolade.
Roy Morgan Research surveyed a random cross-section of citizens across the country, asking participants which automotive brands they trust in the most.
The award, for the year to June 30, is based on monthly polls in which consumers are asked to comment on more than 50 automotive brands selling new vehicles in Australia.
Toyota Australia sales, marketing and Franchise Operations Sean Hanley said the win showed the faith Australians have in the brand.
“It is an honour to accept this award, which reinforces that Australians regard Toyota as a brand that people can rely on,” Hanley says.
Roy Morgan Research says it conducted surveys across 26 industry sectors as part of its latest awards and has been producing such research in Australia for more than 75 years.
