Tesla chief executive Elon Musk reckons Tesla’s “Master Plan Part 3” will be about scaling the company to an “extreme size” and artificial intelligence (AI), which he says are needed to shift humanity away from fossil fuels.

Master Plan Parts 1 and 2 were very important pieces of literature in Tesla’s history that laid out its plan to achieve its mission through a rough product roadmap and technologies to focus on, and Tesla is now near the end of “Part 2” so Musk is announcing the upcoming release of “Part 3”, Electrek reports.

Musk has announced on Twitter the main subject of Master Plant Part 3 is going to be scaling Tesla to “extreme size”, with Tesla already publicising its goal to achieve an annual production capacity of about 20 million EVs by 2030.

Electrek speculates Musk’s new plan is likely to provide more details about how to scale manufacturing and supply chain to higher levels, especially amid difficult global supply issues.
