The “Everything Electric” expo in February at the Sydney Showground will show visitors how to electrify their lives, featuring EV test drives and displays.
These include Polestar, Audi, BMW, Hyundai, Genesis, Peugeot, GWM, Renault, MG, BYD, Cupra, Kia, and Tesla.
The Renault Megane E-Tech and Hyundai Ioniq 5 will be available to test drive on the road for the first time in Australia.
With Australians buying EVs in record numbers, Everything Electric Australia (formerly Fully Charged Live) now runs over three days and is shaping up to be twice the size of last year’s inaugural Australian show, organisers say.
Powered by NRMA and created by makers of the Fully Charged YouTube Show, Everything Electric travels the world in a bid to teach people to #StopBurningStuff.
This year’s show will showcase the biggest EV test drive experience in Australia featuring cars, motorcycles and e-bikes; dozens of live sessions with experts on a range of topics, an exhibition featuring hundreds of companies including EVs, home energy options, charging companies and batteries.
“Everything Electric Australia is committed to offering an exceptional platform for leading electric vehicle brands to showcase their latest innovations while celebrating the positive impact electrification can have on our lives and the environment,” says The Fully Charged Show chief executive Dan Caesar.
He says the focus of this year’s expo is to expand upon EVs alone, now including home energy technologies and solutions under one roof.
“The reality is, the cost of living is continuing to bite for Aussies, and energy bills and petrol prices are a major culprit<’ Caesar says.
“This year’s show is a chance for Australians to explore how they can reduce the impact that their mobility and home energy usage has on not only the environment, but their own pockets.”
Attractions include Electric Alley (including EV displays), the EV Test Drive Experience, Micro Mobility Test Track, more than 40 expert live sessions across two theatres on topics including choosing your first EV, EV myth busting, whether EVs can cope with Australia’s wide-open spaces, the cost of “cleaner technologies”, how to undertake an EV road trip, which car companies could end up in an electric graveyard, buying a used EV, future proofing your home, and low impact living.
Everything Electric will also showcase exhibitors in the home energy space, including Origin Energy, Schneider Electric and AGL, along with a line-up of expert panels, providing education on the myths, misconceptions, and simple steps to going electric. Free one-to-one consultations with home energy experts are offered.
