Suzuki Australia’s new managing director is Shuzo Hoshikura.
He replaces Yoshiyuki Hakamata who returned to Japan at the end of April after five and a half years in Australia to start on a new assignment with Suzuki Motor Corporation.
Hoshikura’s many years of experience have played a pivotal role in shaping a variety of key areas of Suzuki Motor Corporation. Upon joining, he managed the Chinese Automobile Market.
Most recently a group manager of Asia Automobile Marketing Group, he oversaw the Philippines for eight years, then returned to Japan as a group manager of Asia Automobile Marketing Group in charge of Vietnam, Myanmar, Malaysia, and Philippines.
“Hakamata san has been a tremendous asset to Suzuki Australia during his five-year tenure, and we are grateful for his efforts in building the brand from strength-to-strength,” says Suzuki Australia automotive general manager Michael Pachota.
“We now look forward to continuing to build on that strong foundation with Hoshikura san.”
