The Ford International Markets Group product development team has created a Super Duty version of the Ranger to meet fleet customers’ demand for greater towing and payload capacity.
A 1500-strong group of Australian designers, engineers, and specialists led the project.
The 2026 Ranger Super Duty will be manufactured in Thailand and sold worldwide.
It has been engineered and designed to deliver higher Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM), Gross Combined Mass (GCM), towing and enhanced off-road capability.
Maximum braked towing capacity is 4500kg, GVM is 4500kg, and GCM is 8000kg.
“The Ranger Super Duty further strengthens our commercial vehicle portfolio with an offering for all kinds of work. As we move closer to launch, we will continue to work closely with fleets and vehicle modifiers across Australia to ensure that Ranger Super Duty does everything it needs,” Ford Australia and New Zealand president and chief executive Andrew Birkic says.
