Ferrari chief marketing and commercial officer Enrico Galliera presided over the unveiling of the Purosangue SUV and limited production Daytona SP3 at the Universo Ferrari immersion experience in Sydney.
It is the first time that the Universo Ferrari exhibition has been shown outside of the Prancing Horse brand’s Italian home of Maranello.
Galliera, Ferrari Far East and Middle East president Dieter Knechtel, and Ferrari Australasia president Dr. Jan Hendrik Voss, attended the official opening of the event which Australia is hosting in Ferrari’s 75th anniversary year.
“Ferrari enjoys a time-honoured bond with the motoring enthusiasts in Australia, having been here for the last 70 years. It’s fitting that we share this occasion with our clients and fans by having this unique exhibition, thus bringing a piece of Maranello to Sydney,” Galliera says.
Hosting customers, fans and Ferrari enthusiasts, the exhibition took over the Winx Stand at Royal Randwick Racecourse until November 29.
Ferrari has also extended an invitation to students from the University of Technology Sydney Car Society.
A key consideration of Universo Ferrari is to inspire enthusiasts of the future, and to engage all people inclusively. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Ferrari’s global charity partner, Save The Children.
The Universo Ferrari showcase is a journey that begins where it all began for the brand: Racing. In this first room, visitors got a deeper insight into Scuderia Ferrari, the most successful Formula 1 team in history.
It continues through to Ferrari Classiche, a space dedicated to the fascinating stories of Ferrari models that have transcended into automotive icons and the factory experts who restore and maintain them to a perfect state.
From there, was a room dedicated to the Ferrari lifestyle and spirit of competition which delved into the customer racing programs of Corse Clienti and Competizioni GT.
Next up was a preview of the Ferrari Tailor Made personalisation program, which seeks to fulfil specific customer requests through endless customisation possibilities, leveraging the brand’s leadership in creativity, craftsmanship, innovation, and luxury.
In the penultimate space, the Ferrari Monza SP2 and Daytona SP3 models were on show. These cars represent the Ferrari Icona series, for limited- production special editions that bridge the past and the future of the brand.
Finally, the journey ended on the rooftop terrace, where the Ferrari Purosangue waited to be explored.
