In addition to unveiling its virtual Enigma GT concept at the Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) on February 27, Italian coachbuilder and automotive designer Pininfarina revealed the Foxtron Model B electric urban crossover.
According to Pininfarina, the Foxtron Model B EV is a collaboration with Taiwan-based multinational contract electronics manufacturer Foxconn, a member of the Hon Hai Technology Group.
It says the Model B is not a show car but is based on the platform of a Foxconn production vehicle called the Model C, with changes to the size of the platform and a new body design.
“This collaboration leverages Pininfarina’s expertise in aerodynamic efficiency through Wind Tunnel testing and interior design, and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) competence,” Pininfarina chief executive Silvio Angori says.

The Model B perfectly symbolises our commitment to dressing technology in a package that captivates the eye. It is a product vision based on an architecture developed by the customer.”
“The S-duct design, streamlined roof, and innovative D-pillar air curtain significantly reduce air turbulence.
“This allows the Model B to achieve a drag coefficient of 0.26. As a personalised urban car, the compact 4.3-meter Model B has a cruising range extending up to 500 kilometres and uses a 2.8-meter wheelbase to fashion a comfortable and spacious cockpit.
“Drawing inspiration from the logos of Pininfarina and Foxtron brands, the new graphic design of the Model B shows elements that gracefully converge towards the rear, creating a captivating wave that follows the car’s silhouette, evoking dynamism.
“In the pursuit of purity, the choice of matte white accentuates the sleek and fluid contours of the concept,” Angori says.
