Tesla chief executive Elon Musk has challenged Russian president Vladimir Putin to “single combat” over Russia’s war on the Ukraine.
He writes Putin’s name in Russian and puts Ukraine in Ukrainian, tweeting “I hereby challenge (Vladimir Putin) to single combat”, Bloomberg reports.
“Stakes are (Ukraine).”

Tagging the Kremlin in a follow-up tweet, South African-born Musk asks in Russian: “Do you agree to this fight?”
Musk has shared several posts on the war in Ukraine.
A video shared on March 5 showed him speaking with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky.
He then tweeted: “Hold strong Ukraine”, Bloomberg adds.
“And also my sympathies to the great people of Russia, who do not want this.”
After Russia’s invasion on February 24, Musk gave Ukraine access to SpaceX’s satellite-internet system Starlink – a system of about 2000 satellites designed to bring web access to underserved areas of the world, Bloomberg explains.
Zelensky thanked Musk for his support.
