MTA NSW has been operating as a registered training organisation (RTO) since 1996 and it has hired a former Land Rover Australia training manager to oversee the delivery of automotive technical training in hybrid vehicles (HEV), battery electric vehicles (BEV) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV) powered by hydrogen.
Effective January 11, 2022, MTA NSW has appointed Ian Price as its new RTO general manager.
Price has more than 24 years of experience in the automotive trade as a senior executive.
A former lecturer at Bradford and Ilkley Colleges in the United Kingdom, Price was most recently instrumental in the operations of Vantage Automotive Pty Ltd as a registered training organisation.
He managed to grow this business to more than 70 staff and achieved the best ‘Small Training Provider’ of the year in the NSW State Training Awards.
MTA NSW chief executive Stavros Yallouridis says Price has an impressive background in the automotive industry, both in education and leadership.
“His experience and skill set will assist MTA in further developing our RTO, specialising in automotive technical training in electric, hybrid and hydrogen vehicle technology,” Yallouridis says.
