The Lexus Electrified Sport will feature at the Melbourne Cup Carnival (November 4-11).
it will be the halo car at the Landmark by Lexus pavilion at Flemington with the brand the naming rights sponsor to the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
Lexus chief executive John Pappas says the Australian debut of the Lexus Electrified Sport is an opportunity for car enthusiasts to gain a glimpse of the stunning super-coupe, which is testament to the exciting BEV future ahead for Lexus.
“The future of mobility is electrified, and the Lexus Electrified Sport is an absolutely breathtaking representation of what a next-generation flagship Lexus supercar will be like, and the type of exciting BEVs Lexus will offer.”
The LBX urban SUV also makes its Australian debut at the carnival ahead of sales starting in the first half of 2024, having a 1.3-litre hybrid electrified powertrain.
Lexus is on track for all new vehicles sold in Australia by 2030 to feature an intelligent electrified powertrain – either hybrid (HEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV) or battery electric vehicle (BEV).
