Australian EV charging infrastructure provider Jet Charge is now joined by Middy’s Electrical as the first certified wholesale partner for the Wallbox’s AC range of EV chargers.

“Middy’s is a great Australian family business, well respected in the electrical wholesaler channel for bringing global technology to market, so we are pleased that Middy’s recognises the benefit of partnering with Jet Charge which is highly experienced in the electric vehicle infrastructure space,” says Jet Charge chief executive Tim Washington.

He says Wallbox products are designed to be simple, smart, user-centric and match any building type and lifestyle, with its chargers among some of the most compact on the market and capable of charging an EV at up to 22kW.

Wallbox offers a range of AC chargers for both residential and commercial use from its Pulsar Plus to Copper SB and Commander 2 which offer an elevated choice for fleet and commercial use.

“Most Australian EV owners will also have solar PV at home, and they can now charge off excess solar using the new Eco-Smart via the my ‘Wallbox app,” Washington adds.

Middy’s tech energy national manager Darren Bowler says Middy’s looks forward to working with Jet Charge through its national branch network.

Wallbox Australia country manager Reece Davis adds: “This agreement is bringing our EV charging and energy management solutions to the Australian population and helping to accelerate EV adoption in the country.”

The announcement is another vote of confidence in the enormous potential of the Australian and New Zealand EV market where recently Jet Charge successfully completed its Series B fund raise of A$25.5 million to scale its technology solutions and operations for the low emissions transport revolution.

It has a growing presence in New Zealand, and a collective team of more than 100 people offering a wide range of EV charging services from local manufacturing and global import/distribution, to project design and delivery of specialist EV energy management and smart charging solutions for government, corporate and residential consumers.

Barcelona-headquartered Wallbox offers a complete portfolio of charging and energy management solutions for residential, semi-public and public use in more than 80 countries.
