Honda Australia says due to high demand for the new Civic Type-R, some customers may be waiting up to 20 months for delivery of their vehicle in 2024.
The automotive industry continues to experience production issues including supply chain and the global shortage of semiconductor parts and Honda Australia says is not immune to these issues.
It also confirmed that the HR-V e:HEV L and new Civic e:HEV LX models are experiencing delivery times of approximately nine months.
The wait times outlined are subject to January production and may change throughout the course of 2023 says Honda Australia.
It says non-e:HEV models and grades continue to have good stock and shorter wait times, particularly the CR-V SUV.
Honda Australia says it will continue to monitor the situation closely.
