Geely says on social media its electric ute is due in Australia later in 2024.
The ute will be known as “Riddara” rather than “Radar” because of a trademark issue with the “Radar” title (it’s understood Radar is used by a Singapore tyre company which has markets in countries such as Australia).

The electric ute (or pickup truck) is being built in right-hand drive and is widely expected to rival the popular Ford Ranger and Toyota HiLux.
Reports suggest the electric Riddara ute will come with 63kWh or 86kWh battery packs.
Geely Group says on social media to “stay tuned for more news” in response to questions seeking further information.
It’s also unclear whether the electric ute will be marketed in New Zealand or other right-hand drive countries – although that seems likely.
EVs and Beyond reported on the electric ute in July 2022.
