Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Australia managing director and chief executive Kevin Flynn and Volvo Car Australia managing director Stephen Connor have been newly appointed as new board directors for the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries following its annual general meeting on May 25, 2022.
Toyota Australia president and chief executive Matthew Callachor was returned as the chairperson of the FCAI board.
Mazda Australia managing director Vinesh Bhindi, Mitsubishi Motors Australia president and chief executive Shaun Westcott and Volkswagen Australia group managing director Paul Sansom were all elected as deputy chair persons.
Honda Australia chief operating officer Stephen Collins was returned as board treasurer.

FCAI chief executive Tony Weber says as the membership of the chamber encompasses 39 automotive brands it is valuable to have a diverse board of directors spread across the marketplace.
“Australia’s automotive industry is standing on the precipice of major change across the areas of safety, emissions and customer experience,” Weber says.
“I am confident our board will be able to provide valuable guidance and strategic direction moving forward.”
“I would like to offer a warm welcome and well wishes to the new board directors,” he says.
