
Electrifying the national vehicle fleet was the chief topic of conversation amongst delegates at the Australasian Fleet Management Association (AfMA) conference and exhibition held in Sydney on May 23 and 24.
More than 700 delegates attended the event and more than 60 fleet focussed supplier exhibitors were on hand to pitch their latest products and services to the sector during networking opportunities.
The AfMA delegates were also able to inspect some of the latest passenger and light commercial battery electric vehicles (BEV) on offer in Australia which were displayed in the exhibition hall at the Rosehill Racecourse events centre.

The BEVs on display included: the Seat Born and Volkswagen I.D 5, Ford Motor Company brought a new Mustang Mach-E and an E-Transit, in addition there was the BYD Atto 3, Polestar 2, Kia EV6, Mazda MX-30, Subaru Solterra, MG4, Tesla Model Y, and Hyundai IONIQ5.
Mitsubishi Motors Australia presented the Outlander PHEV and demonstrated its vehicle to load (V2L) capability by powering a tiny house which it had brought along specifically for the event.
Iveco presented the all-electric Daily cab/chassis truck, Foton presented its all-electric light duty truck, Mercedes-Benz showcased the e-Vito delivery van and Hyundai presented the all-new all-electric Mighty light duty truck.
