Evie Networks says all its EV chargers and network services have been restored, with its chargers back to full operational capacity.
This follows earlier advice that some Evie Networks’ EV chargers were unavailable due to an Optus network issue which affected millions of people across Australia on November 8, with Optus customers’ mobile and fixed services impacted and gradually restored.
Evie Networks has provided further advice on preparing for “unforeseeable network outages”.
“As today’s (November 8) incident demonstrated, unforeseeable events can occasionally affect our network,” it explains.
“While such occurrences are rare, we recommend the following:
• Download and install the latest version of the Evie App: Our app provides real-time notifications and the latest information on our charging network’s status, serving as a great reference point.
• Order an Evie Pass/RFID card: The Evie Pass RFID card allows you to initiate a charge without relying on your phone, making it especially convenient when sharing your vehicle or dealing with limited mobile reception at your charging location. “We appreciate your understanding and patience during this period.
‘The reliability of our network is of paramount to us, and we are committed to taking further measures to reduce any potential impacts on the network in the future.”
