
Australian advertising tech firm Cartelux has appointed Mathew Pretel as head of product.
Pretel joins from Google with which Cartelux has a long-standing partnership.
He joins Cartelux to support the company’s next global growth phase, including adding further categories besides its present automotive industry focus.
Cartelux invented software enabling advertisers to target and optimise their ad campaigns and personalise the message for local distribution.
The company’s automated marketing platform manages the relationship between big brand owners and their downstream local retail partners and enables improved marketing efforts.

During Mathew’s 12-year tenure at Google he was senior advertising solutions architect and the technical lead for a Google News Initiative sponsored program that helped accelerate digital maturity of publishers across the Asia-Pacific region.
He worked as a product manager at the “next billion users program’”, a Google initiative in emerging countries. Before that, Mathew was head of professional services for digital publishers in Australia and New Zealand.
